Several hundreds of videos later, this is still the most powerful video I've seen on YouTube. The recording is horrible, but that doesn't matter. It's the most beautiful train wreck I've ever heard. Absolutely incredible. How come nobody talks about Corky as much as Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell or Ginger Baker? He was one of them, one of the main ones.

As Mississippi Queen has become a legend within the history of Heavy Rock, the same, the intro to this song has become emblematic for Mountains music. During the intro, the instruments get into a very harmonic mixture of power and rhythm that determines a crescendo of tension mainly, Leslie is responsible for this act.

But in this version, in order to exercise his master mind and/or just to play a joke to Felix (who got very involved) at one moment, Leslie goes spontaneously and drastically down into a slow rhythm leaving all the power and the rhythm in Felix hands: that is why Felix is laughing so hard at 0.48 ! ... but the sound remains still great ...pure genius !

This footage reminds music lovers of all ages & kinds that bliss can be achieved even thru strings & amps......the interaction between west & papalardi was truly one of a kind. I wish I could have been there for Mountains reign.Being born in 66 doesnt help matters much either, LOL.
